"content": "# Leadership\n\nMyBudget is led by an eight-person senior management team, chaired by founder and director Tammy Barton. Six of the eight are women. Two are men. That composition is deliberate — the majority of our clients are women, and our leadership reflects that.\n\n## Tammy Barton — Founder and Director\n\nTammy Barton founded MyBudget in 1999 from her kitchen table in Adelaide at the age of 22. What started as helping friends and family with their finances has grown into a national service that has helped more than 130,000 Australians and manages more than a billion dollars in client income each year.\n\nTammy still leads MyBudget as its director. The values she started with — reduce financial stress, help people properly, build a workplace worth working in — still shape everything the company does.\n\nHer thinking on money, business, and leadership has been featured in Westpac's Backing Business magazine and across MyBudget's own *MyMoney MyStory* podcast series.\n\n## A leadership team that reflects our clients\n\nBeyond Tammy, MyBudget's senior management team is made up of seven other leaders — six women and one man — spanning operations, client services, product, compliance, marketing, technology, and people and culture.\n\nWe do not publish individual profiles for every role on this page — priorities and portfolios shift over time and we would rather keep this page accurate than stylised. If you need to reach a specific team leader, our client care team can direct your enquiry.\n\n## Gender equality in numbers\n\nThe senior team's composition is part of a broader pattern across MyBudget.\n\n- **75% of senior management roles are held by women** (6 of 8)\n- **55% of MyBudget staff overall are women**, representing 61% of payroll cost\n- **Median base salary gender pay gap: 4.6%**\n- **Median total remuneration gender pay gap: 0.2%**\n\nBoth pay-gap figures sit inside the range the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) considers balanced. We publish them because we think they should be public — and because we are proud of them.\n\nThe reasoning is simple, in Tammy's words: given the majority of MyBudget's clients are women, it makes sense that the workforce — particularly leadership — reflects the people we serve.\n\n## How the leadership team runs MyBudget\n\nThe leadership group is responsible for:\n\n- **Client outcomes** — the standard of service every one of our 130,000+ clients receives\n- **Regulatory compliance** — operating under our AFSL, ACL, and AFCA obligations (see [Accreditations](/trust/accreditations/))\n- **Team wellbeing** — a workplace that people want to work at, in a service industry where empathy matters\n- **Financial responsibility** — managing more than a billion dollars in annual client income across a trust framework\n- **Product development** — the platform, tools, and Money Coach training that make the MyBudget Method possible\n- **National service delivery** — remote-first for all of Australia, with an Adelaide head office\n\n## Global operations\n\nMyBudget's core leadership sits in Adelaide, but our team spans **three continents**: Australia, and support operations in the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and the United States. That structure lets us provide the service coverage Australians expect while keeping costs sustainable for clients.\n\n## Get in touch\n\nIf you want to contact the leadership team directly, the best starting point is:\n\n- **Phone:** 1300 300 922\n- **Web:** [free, obligation-free enquiry](https://www.mybudget.com.au/enquire-online/)\n- **Address:** 122 Frome Street, Adelaide SA 5000\n\nFor formal complaints, MyBudget's external dispute resolution provider is the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) — details on our [Accreditations](/trust/accreditations/) page.\n\n## Related pages\n\n- [Our Story](/about/our-story/) — how MyBudget started and what has never changed\n- [The MyBudget Method](/trust/the-mybudget-method/) — the four-step approach the leadership team stands behind\n- [Accreditations](/trust/accreditations/) — the regulatory framework we operate under\n- [Client success stories](/trust/client-success-stories/) — the outcomes our leadership is ultimately accountable for\n",
